That’s a great ‘Single Malt’ if I am not mistaken: hope it is not just used for photographic purposes πŸ™‚
Good image.
Oh and thanks for the visit – hope you enjoyed looking at some of my photography.

Yes; even now when I go in to either the desert or on the jebel and they hear my obviously English accent, I find the locals always want to talk and some of the older ones reminisce.
The Brits helped us with our Sultan (whom most all adore) you guys left a good impression !

Thats amazing, that we should be remembered all these years later… I remember what good people they were / are and what an amazing country it is…

WHat are you doing out there, that you get out into the Jebel, some amazing places hidden away up there. I remember the wolves and other wildlife..

I left the services and later joined Marconi (now BAE) for my sins I purport to be an electronics engineer…. But it gets in the way of me exploring anywhere tourist fear to tread. (Landrover tent, map and a good bottle of whisky)
I have many O/S maps of the period 1966 to 83 (MOD please return when finished with πŸ˜‰ ) great for old footpaths.
Over the years I have covered a lot of the county looking for Neolithic sites and any rock art I can find – a sadly neglected area of archaeological research.
