Visit to London

27 02 2013

Hi Folks,

I went up to London today to see:  The Manet exhibition at the Royal Academy, and the Man Ray photographic exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery.  Both were worth seeing, Manet had some excellent paintings (well, excellent according to my taste), and a number of not so interesting ones, the only real negative was the crowd, even on a weekday it was very busy.

Man Ray, a Photographer / Artist from approximately the 1930’s, was one of the Surrealist school.  If you like photography then you will enjoy this show, interesting black and white material, take a look at http://www.artfund.org/what-to-see/exhibitions/2013/02/07/man-ray-portraits?

I did have time to take a few photographs of London ( Not of the exhibitions, the British Museum police don’t let you take photos in the galleries.  In the past, I have been threatened with summary ejection for offending, lol ), will try to get them loaded on here tomorrow…

All the best

Mike
